Let's Finish Strong! Last Day of NaNo!

"The End"!

As of midnight tonight, 2022 NaNoWriMo is done. When this post goes live, we'll have 12 hours left to put the finishing touches on this year's draft. How did it go for you this round? Was this your first time attempting NaNo or are you a NaNo Pro?

This will be my 14th year as a NaNo participant. I've earned four badges for meeting my word goal on time. I enjoy using NaNo to hold me to a writing schedule even if I don't finish the draft and earn my badge in 30 days. If you're behind on your word count, I hope you feel encouraged to finish the draft regardless. Also, I'm here to help as your coach. Book a one-on-one strategy session with me so we can get you to "The End" of your project.

Note: Today is our last writing prompt and timer. It's also the end of this year's NaNoWriMo, so there won't be a writing session tomorrow on my YouTube channel. Instead, join me there where I'll be announcing some exciting events and things coming up in 2023.

Alright, enough stalling, let's get to writing. After reading the prompt, get your pen (or fingers on the keyboard/stylus in hand/press record on the voice recorder...etc) and paper ready, then press play on the timer and start writing.

*This week's timer has music and flashing lights Adjust volume as necessary.*

Prompt:

Fiction - What's the last scene in your book? Where does the protagonist end up? How are they looking, feeling? Write it all out.

Non-Fiction - It's the end of the book, what do you want the reader to do now? Give them a summary of your book as well as guidance as to what they should do next.

Let's Write!

And with that, we end this year's NaNoWriMo. My final word count is listed below; let me know where you are - did you reach your goal or will you be writing till the last minute?

Reminder - whether you finish today or not, you can book one-on-one sessions to help you finish your draft and beyond.

It's been my pleasure writing with you this month. See you back here next Wednesday as we shift gears and get ready for the new year. Until then, as always, sending light and inspiration.

Dana
