Ugh! Week 4...Really?

I know this month seems to be dragging by, lol. But hey, after this session, just one more to go and we'll be done. How close are you to being finished with your draft? Drop a comment below sharing your total word count and how much further till you reach your goal.

Meanwhile, for anyone still needing to get those words in, keep going for our Wednesday Write-In. Same as before, check below for a writing prompt and timer. Once you've read the prompt, hit play and get to writing.

For a more interactive session, join me tomorrow, on my YouTube channel where I'll be hosting writing sessions, Thursdays at 11 am, EST. Those will be saved to the channel so you can revisit them as needed.

Note: Next Wednesday will be our last writing prompt and timer. And because that marks the end of this year's NaNoWriMo, there won't be a session on Thursday. Instead, I'll be announcing some exciting news for 2023.

Alright, enough stalling, let's get to writing. After reading the prompt, get your pen (or fingers on the keyboard/stylus in hand/press record on the voice recorder...etc) and paper ready, then press play on the timer and start writing.

*This week's timer is silent with single gentle bell at beginning & end.*

Prompt:

Fiction - This is it, time for the big reveal. What's the ultimate hurdle the protagonist has to overcome? Write the scene; where it takes place, what's going on, who's where, and what are they doing. Give as much detail as possible.

Non-Fiction - What additional resources does your reader need or would be helpful to the reader at this point? Are there places you recommend they go to enhance their experience after reading your book? Explain how the reader can continue to feel/think/engage/etc. with your work after they're done reading.

Let's Write!

You did it! So, are you finished, did you hit your goal? Leave a comment below. My word count, as usual, will be listed as well.

And hey, don't worry if you're still a few (or a lot of) words short. There are a full seven days left. Remember, there's a writing session going up tomorrow on my YouTube channel. You can also book a one-on-one session with me and I can help you 'plot' out your writing schedule so you're sure to get those last words written.

Thanks for stopping by! See you back here next Wednesday or tomorrow on my YouTube channel. Until then, as always, sending light and inspiration.

Dana
