Here's a bit of uncharacteristic tough love from me to you.
*TRIGGER WARNING* Mention of death
It is 2023 and despite what you may have heard, this thing called life doesn't last forever on this side of the daisies. I know, not the most upbeat way to kick off a new year but if 2020 taught us anything, it should be that life can be shorter than we think. And while I don't suggest you live today as if you were, for sure, going to die tomorrow and thus avoid any long-term consequences for truly bad behavior, I do want to stress that if you have anything on your bucket list that can be accomplished in a year, you effing make the plan to get 'er done. NOW!
With all that being said, how many of you have a book on your mind that you'd love to write? You've been thinking about it and thinking about it for years. A memoir perhaps, or a biography of someone in your family you've wanted to share stories about. A book of poetry or an epic romance novel? Fact or fiction, this idea has been lurking in the background for far too long.
Why haven't you written it yet? Oh, there are so many reasons, aren't there? I wrote a blog post about them, want to read it? Here you GO (<--- click).
(In Living Color, Sketch Comedy TV show, 1990 - 1994)
Did any of those reasons ring a bell? How about in this post? (<--- click again).
I've heard a LOT of excuses most of which can be boiled down to the one excuse to rule them all - Fear. It shows up in different ways and can be aimed at a bunch of different perceived outcomes. And because of that, there's no one method or technique that everyone can use to get past their fears and write the book.
This brings me to why I'm writing this post and that is to introduce you to Simply Self-Published (trademark pending) Coaching. We work together to tailor the six, simple steps to self-published into a process that fits how you write, learn, and live. All so you can write and sell your book in a way that is authentic to you.
There are three packages to choose from. Depending on where you are in the process, choose which one is right for you...

Hopefully, my not-so-subtle message was received with the love in which it was sent. For real, no one knows how long they're going to be in this plane of existence. If you have a book yearning to be written, a story calling out to be told, then please, do what you can to make this the year you produce it. Idris really thinks you should, and who can say 'no' to that smolder?
As always, thank you so much for stopping by. Until next time, sending light and inspiration.
