Hi, My Name Is...

Updated: Aug 9

Hi. My name is Dana. I’m 53 years old. I’m an independent, self-published author I’m betting you’ve never heard of. I own a small publishing company through which I provide services to new indie authors to help them through the self-publishing process. I’m pretty sure you’ve never heard of my company either. No stress, you're here now and that's what's important.

Oh, and something else to note, I’m a Black woman living in the U. S. of A. - We’ll unpack that as we go along, because it’s an aspect of my being that impacts every section of my life. For now, since this is our first official get together, I just want to keep things simple. And being Black in America is anything but simple.

I have a day job where I’m NOT a writer / business owner, but instead a “do as I’m told” employee. I won’t be writing about that at all because well, it’s a job. ‘Nuff said.

I don’t have a cohesive plan or concept for my blog. I’ll mostly just write about things relating to my writing and business as they strike my fancy so you can expect an eclectic mix of topics and visuals as we go along.

Side note - I’ll be just as random with my posting schedule as I am with my topics so I suggest you subscribe to the site now. That way you won’t miss anything.

So yeah, here we are. Intro episode in the bag. I do hope you’ll stick around. I’m thinking things are going to be pretty interesting as the rest of this year plays out.
